5 - USA Acquisition
The acquisition after year-end of the Farm Progress group
expands Rural Press Limited into arguably, the world's most
extensive agricultural information provider.
When combined with our existing operations based in
Raleigh, North Carolina, the Group occupies the leading
market position in USA agricultural publishing with
comprehensive coverage of every farming State. Farm Progress
publishes superior quality magazines, has a valuable data
base marketing facility and is a leading farm show
operator.
The acquisition will allow the transfer of the latest
agricultural editorial information from the largest
agricultural marketplace for Rural Press; it will provide a
countercyclical benefit to any seasonal downturns in
Australia and New Zealand.
